I would not recommend to a friend because they could just use mine, but I would recommend buying if you like cars (with computers that is.) The ergonomics are quite nice for holding on to the scanner. The screen brightness is okay in daylight. The text in the display is nice and easy to read. The scanner has a Monitor and graphing function that helps in diagnostics. (The big selling point for me.)
I also like the versatility of this machine…I have GM OBD1, my sis has OBD2, and I have a lot of friends with older Toyotas. There also might be a friend with a mopar as well ;)….
This one scanner does those plus GMs OBD1.5 in 94 and 95 GM cars. It also does Ford. This thing has Battery voltage, Starting, Charging tests for OBD2.
